See the Naval Warfare
Naval battles with 20ft (6 metres) replica battleships on Peasholm Park Boating Lake every Monday, Thursday and Saturday starting the first week in July until the end of August. Doors at 2:00 pm, music from 2:30 pm, with the battle at 3:00 pm.
Play MiniGolf
Enjoy playing MiniGolf (Pitch n’ Put) on an 18-hole course in picturesque surroundings – running by Northstead Manor Drive and Peasholm Park. There is also a 12-hole putting green.
Go Boating on Peaholm Park Lake
Rent a spectacular Dragon Boat, pedal swan or canoe. Hire a 3-5 seater Dragon Boat for 30 minutes to take you around the boating lake. A 2 to 3 person boat costs £5.00 and a 4 to 5 person boat costs £8.00. Canoe hire is £3.00.
There is also the motor launch “Swan Princess” for a leisurely trip.
Peasholm Park boating is open from 10:00 to 5:00 pm April to November: weekends, bank holidays, school holidays and summer holidays.
Stroll around Peasholm Park
Scarborough’s oriental-themed municipal park has a beautiful arrangement of streams and waterfalls, mini bridges and mystical gardens for your whole family to enjoy. One of the most popular Scarborough tourist attractions, Peasholm Park offers a relaxing day for all members of the family.
The first thing you’ll see as soon as you enter Peasholm Park is the fabulous lake with a huge waterfall at centre stage. On top of the waterfall amidst lush trees is the Pagoda on Peasholm Park Island.

South Cliff Italian Gardens and Cliff Lift Tunnel

Scarborough’s elegantly landscaped garden and woodland area straddling Spa Bridge to Holbeck with lovely walks, plenty of seating and spectacular views over South Bay and Old Town.
The Cliff Lift Tunnel, open in the summer 2022, after being closed in 1973 reconnects the north and south areas of South Cliff Gardens. The fully accessible tunnel is just 5 metres long and 2 metres high and cuts a mile and 30 minutes off the journey between the two halves of Scarborough’s South Cliff Gardens. Wheelchair users can go straight through the Cliff Lift Tunnel from Spa Bridge to the Clock Tower – previously wheelchair users had to go to the top and back down again, leave the gardens and go back in.
